Bardali Ghar

Based on the architecture of the Malla era, Rabindra Puri’s Model Village has been launched at Sanga, the northern entrance of Kathmandu. Spread over 54 ropanis of land on Saraswoti Danda, a hill to the north of Khalchowk Sanga, the project lies 8.7 km from Salaghari and 15.5 km from Tinkune. The village will comprise 50 residential houses along with common stone taps, resting areas, temples, and monasteries.

The houses in the Model Village — built with the aim of promoting the cultural heritage of the country — have yards, tiled roofs, mud plaster, floors of terracotta, artistic doors and windows made of sal wood. This is one of the dream projects of Rabindra Puri which is being built with the help of Fernando Palazuelo (Arte Express) from Spain, who is working to restore Spanish architectural houses.
